Tom Collins

Veron has inspired me to stop slacking and update my blog! I guess a blog is sort of like a personal diary except for the fact that it's not so personal after all as any Tom, Dick and Harry can read it.

Anyway some update on what's been happening since the new year. 2008 has been pretty good so far. Summer sem has started. My last subject before I can finally graduate! I aim to get my first H1 but no pressure. I just want the bloody 12.5 credit points.

I also started a bartending course 2 days ago and I already spilled 7 glasses of water last night. The tray somehow toppled off my hand. Next thing I know my shirt and jeans were drenched wet and the instructor giving me a look and pointing to a mop. How embarassing!

A few things I've learnt so far..

1. There are five types of white spirits and 5 types of dark spirit.
2. Vodka is made from potato skin. (Bet you didn't know..I know I was shocked)
3. 1 keg of beer can fill 175.4 pots of beer.
4. And I think Tom Collins is going to be my favourite cocktail although I haven't tried it but just because it sounds sweet.

(30mL gin, 20mL lemon juice, 10mL sugar syrup, 1 barsp castor sugar, soda and ice)

Well I hope I can find a job after I complete the course in a weeks time.
