OMG: ONE WORD..You guys are persistent!

Actually that's more than one word! Ok ok in true fact I have actually given up blogging. But come to think of it since I'm so bloody busy working nowadays, this is actually a very good way to keep all my friends up to date on what I'm up to since I hardly get to see anyone nowadays. :-(

Hmmmm...so what have been going on since last June? Hmmmm...Fucking hell! That's a bloody long time! So much have happened....so much have changed!

Firstly, I no longer live in gorgeous Verve with bitchy agents. We only got about half of our bond back. They charged us for repainting 2 walls, cleaning the marbles 'professionally' and changing ONE piece of blind! On top of that I spent 780aud cleaning the damn apartment and dry cleaning the linens. To think that we were so happy when we found out that they were providing us with everything including linens, cutleries etc. This is the price that you have to pay for. Bloody smart ppl!

Anyway I'm staying in Temple Court on Collins St with my bro. The first time I saw the place..I was totally shocked as it was a huge transition from gorgeous Verve with magnificient views of the city to this small place with no views. But after some time you get use to it. It's actually not that bad after all. Cosy and it takes me 5 minutes to walk to work.

Talking about work. Hmmmm...I joined Crown last September as a Food & Bev Attendant in the Room Service Department. I literally worked my ass off and luckilly for me my manager noticed my hard work. She offered me a management role last month and without hesitation I took the offer. So now I'm doing full time work and doing my masters part time. I had a thought about it. I might have side tracked a bit in terms of career path but looking at the current economic conditions and the increasing unemployment rate, this is an opportunity that I cannot miss.

Come to think of it, I have always been a hospitality guy. I started my first paying job as a front office attendant in a hotel back home. My first job in Australia was also in hospitality, as a kitchen assistant in uni. I also did some bar shifts, some porter shifts and some waitering shifts when I was with Pinnacle. I guess hospitality can be my back up career path. Plus there's no better place to start than Crown. They are one of the biggest in hospitality. The only downside is the bloody working hours.

What else? What else? Hmmmmm..I also got my PR after waiting for exactly 8 months! I haven't been home in 2 and a half years :-(! I really really hope that I can go home during CNY next year.

I'm also looking to get a new apartment but I have yet to see a bank to see how much I can borrow. I guess it's a really good time to buy properties this year. Interest rates are low and property market is on the down-low as well. Not exactly low but prices are not as steep as last year. If I could come up with the down-payment, there's no reason to rent as my rent money will be equivalent to my mortgage. So might as well get a place, pay the mortgage and at the end of the day the place is yours. You also don't need to put up with 'stuck up son of a bitch' agents!

I guess the only thing that I have to make sure is job security. Make sure I have an income for the next 25 years....

I have not been seeing a lot of friends. I think everyone just gave up cos everytime they call me..my answer would be I'm working or the call will just go unanswered cos I'm at work! I guess this is the sacrifice I have to make. Suffer for another few years till my masters done and when I'm higher up the ladder, I'll get to decide what time I go to work. At the meantime I will have minimum social life.

Anyway I'm on night shift for the next one month with Tue/Wed or Wed/Thu off so if anyone wanna catch up let me know. I have an evening class from 5.30pm to 8.30pm every Wed. So any other time will be good unless of course I'm busy catching up with my beloved bed! Till then.....
